First Time Living in Cold Weather

Personal<1 min read

In this morning, my ear and hand hurt kinda hurt. I, naively, go outside without preparing for the cold temperature in the morning. Assuming today is just like any previous day.

This isn’t my first time experienced the cold weather. I travel to Europe and other countries a lot in the autumn and winter, so I get used to it to some extent. But this my first time living and experienced season change from summer to autumn and to winter.

I know it’s not winter yet, but I will stay in the UK when the season change. I’m not confident if I can be fine when its winter.

People like me who come from a warm country, let alone temperature below 10ºC, 20ºC is already cold. My host mother told me it was warm in this autumn. On my mind “Seriously? I’m freezing”.

It’s warm…

Normally, it was 33ºC-25ºC in my country. So, I hope you can understand why I’m not used to the cold.

To make it worse is that there is no heater in my homestay.

Well, that not actually true, I’m exaggerating a bit. They have a heater but the host family didn’t turn it on. Maybe because to save electricity or something.

I hope I can get used to this weather.

I miss my home country.
